STRAIGHT OUTTA COSPLAY
Corey Morgan of “Straight Outta Cosplay” was born and raised in White Plains, New York, but currently resides in MD. A graduate of Howard University in Washington DC, Corey has been cosplaying since 2015, and has quickly gained recognition for his very accurate cosplays, to include the realistic masks that he often paints on himself. Corey’s cosplays have gained him wide acclaim throughout the cosplay industry and have appeared on the cover of Cosplayzine magazine and have taken third place at the Marvel Comics Cosplay competition at the 2016 New York Comicon. Corey has not only become known for his own costumes but often includes his family, cosplaying alongside his wife and daughters at conventions. Despite the recognition and the notoriety, the thing that Corey enjoys most about cosplaying is interacting with children and presenting himself as a positive role model, inspiring and motivating them as much as possible. Nothing brings Corey greater fulfillment than taking time out at Comicons and other events to take pictures with and talk to young people.
In addition to comic conventions, Corey has cosplayed at various charity and community outreach events and is available for appearances. In addition to cosplay, Corey is also a professional face and body artist, and the owner of Mr. Corey’s Face Painting. With more than10 years of experience as a body artist, Corey has amassed a literal worldwide following for his very realistic comic book inspired face painting designs. Corey not only face paints at parties, fairs, festivals and other events in the DC, MD, VA area, thrilling not just children, but adults as well with his artistic skills, but is also a face painting instructor with the Face and Body Art International Convention, one of the largest face and body art organizations in the world. Corey has traveled throughout the US, as well as the UK, giving seminars and workshops on face painting and body art
